Its a Mind Game !!

I have long thought, that Life is totally a Mind Game. The belief that a lot of your life turns out the way it does because of how you approached certain important junctures in life. And because of those decisions, you have a certain way of life.

Mistakes, every body makes !! But the response to those mistakes varies. The variation is there because of what you think. What you think, may be miles away of reality. But because of the way you think of something in a certain way, you notice or don’t notice certain opportunities.

Even opportunities, are a perception. To some it may be trouble and to others it is an opportunity. If you think you are capable, you will give your best shot. But if you think you can’t make it, the battle is already half lost. As they say it.

Again, LOVE,(as I have said previously here), its is in the mind again. If you think you are in Love, then you are. If you don’t think you are in Love, you are not. Its more like Descartes Famous Quoute

Cogito Ergo Sum

(I think, therefore I am )

 

 And every day I spent, I believe, all the more. That its a Mind Game. Life is not good, because you think it is not good. Life is good because you think it is good. You can try to be positive about something.

Once someone has made up his mind, it is a great effort to change it. No matter how much logic you explain to that person, he will still have a counter argument. Logic, is not the right way. Even sometimes, you cannot change your mind yourself.  Best described in the lyrics of the song below.

 So I am just hoping, That I make up my Mind and get a grip of my Life.

American Foreign Policy.

I was just wondering and I realised,

the United States of America (USA)  was involved in almost all major wars of the last and present century.

the USA was at war with the more countries than any other country and all were geographically diverse. From South-East Asia to Middle East to Africa.

the USA, sponsored many coups financially and strategically and at times openly. (Whereas any other country doing the same is termed as “Sponsoring Terrorism”, at times to the same person)

the USA, would enter a country, on pretext from giving freedom to their people from their current leadership and leave the country in Chaos !! (For Example, Sudan and Iraq). Not a single country which had US intervention is now Safe and Organised. From Sudan, Iraq to Yugoslav.

the USA, would attack a country even on false allegations, and ask other countries to fight its war.

Countries not supporting USA in these wars, will suffer economically from US and UN sanctions. Many at times even called sponsoring Terrorism.

Any country who has nuclear program, is a threat to the WORLD. (North Korea, China). Even in though a country may have No First Use Policy.(As in case of India, which suffered US and UN sanctions). But the same is not the case with  US Allies. Infact the US continues to increase its military and nuclear arsenal. And I thought we were striving to build a peaceful world.

USA would ignore all sections of terrorism, and express that differences should be resolved with Diplomacy and not War. Unless those acts are directly attacking the US  or US interests.

And then we say, United States of America is a Great Nation !!!

Even though my country is not as advanced as USA, I would still prefer my country. Simply because we don’t kill other country’s people for our interest.

Knowledge !?

Whats the point of having Knowledge when it can’t be put to use !!

 Some years back, I had this discussion with one of my Friends, arguing about what is Intelligence. I had the understanding that the person who has good grasping power, a person who can understand concepts fast and clearly is Intelligent. But this feeling has changed over the period, where as now, I feel  grasping power alone cannot define intelligence.

I think concepts  understood well are  not enough to qualify one as Intelligent. I think its more. And that more is application of those concepts so that they are useful. If they can’t be put to use, then whats the use of understanding them.

Knowing of concepts without any application does not qualify you to be intelligent. Neither Mugging up things, unless put to proper use. Books are never Intelligent, but they are loaded with knowledge. Availability of Knowledge is never enough for you to stand in this world properly. Its the application of that same Knowledge, to churn out something useful and meaningful, which is important.

Knowledge and application, alone, also is not enough. One has to apply them at the right time. When it is required. If for example, One has the knowledge of artificial respiration, and explain it to someone new, every day but is unable to use it when someone is dying. You won’t be called intelligent. Although you understand the concept of it and one has put the knowledge to good and meaningful use, It is not enough, because when the real time came that knowledge was not applied. An Intelligent person has his head always on his shoulders.

That is why, the application of concepts has to be done at the right time.

 Understanding AND Use of Data, At the right time, where ever required is the real Intelligence.
