Dilemma !!
Basically… I have not spent more than an hour working/thinking on the actual work I am suppose to do. This is for the past few weeks.Yet, At any given day and point of time, I am busy with official work only. I don’t have time to do anything else.
Then What Exactly AM I Doing ??
The Week Gone By … !!
It was rather an interesting week. I took 3 important decisions which are going to affect my life in the long run. All the three decision did not alter my current position. I guess I just refused to move out of my comfort zone. It was denial to take on the unknown.
Somehow I feel, people would have jumped in atleast 2 of the 3 scenarios which I faced. They are unable to see why I chose what I chose. Yet, sitting now and thinking, I still not feel I made any mistake. I guess simply because not choosing to venture out retained my status quo, retained the feeling that everything is alright. The life remains same !!
The weekend was rather dull. With lot of reading(technical) which I was supposed to do (and which I did not). I instead slept. I am now looking forward to the coming week and wondering what it has in store for me.

The Mindset !?
One of my friends once mentioned, In order to be happy (in the sense of achieving), you have to compete with others. If you compete with yourself, you will never be satisfied. I never agreed. For me competition is always with oneself. Setting targets and achieving them. Not beating the benchmarks set by others, but setting once own. I always held the belief that competing with others only limits you to there capabilities and not yours.
Even now, whenever I hear, India should be like China or somewhere else. I always ask myself, why can’t we set our own targets. Why do we have to limit our capabilities to what other countries have already achieved. Why do we limit ourselves to play the catchup game.
I think its about time we changed our mindsets. The mindset of How we want to be, to What we want to be.
