@d_minor : Thanks for the motivation.

Yesterday, I was having a discussion with my colleagues. Only yesterday I realized, that a convicted man can be elected in our government, the only thing he should have served his term.

You have said, don't vote for these people. Whom do i vote for then? Is choosing Dogs over Pigs a good decision?? Is this what we are only capable of??

Agreed, the problem is ours, but as a nation what are we doing to solve it? Do we honestly believe if we vote in huge numbers we are solving problems?? I feel, if we vote in huge numbers we will only choose the criminal who will next lead us.

Hey Kid, a very well written blog post... you have a valid point -

"No where I come to read who are the people running for elections and what background they have."

- but the real question is have we as citizens done our homework? Maybe there should be a law, political parties have to publish a list with a list of all their candidates and their background, especially if they have a criminal background. Today, there are more criminals contesting in elections. Do we know who these people are?

People like Tyler get a clean chit (thanks for our political system), and criminal bring forth their wives to run proxy campaigns... and we sit blindly and accept it? The answer is simple, don't vote for such people!!

The real issues have to be first understood by us, we the people of India. I assure you, we can chance the face of this country, all we need to do is vote and get the right people to lead us.

Good work my friend, keep bloging... Cheers!!

[...] FriendFeed put an intriguing blog post on The State of India!!Here’s a quick excerptThe current state of Indian Politics has deteriorated to mere Power Broking and Seat Sharing instead of being for the development of the poeple. As the 2009 Lok Sabha Elections near, every day I read more on which party is wooing which one and what is the current status of Seat Sharing in the respective states. No where I read to understand what all these parties are promising people, what they offer to do for the development of them. No where I come to read who are the people running for elect [...]
