A Soldier!?
A Soldier is one of the most undramatic of characters. He fights with courage and valor for his country in death defying conditions, thinking nothing but what he has asked been to do. And when he accomplishes the mission on which he had set his mind to, he does not rejoice in celebration, but picks a corner and mourns for the loss he had to incur to reach his destination. Without much fanfare, he moves on to his next task, not thinking about the rewards or praises that he should get, and he doesn’t, taking every thing in the line of the duty.
A Salute to the Nations’ Force, which stay awake at night, so that I can sleep peacefully, which stay away from their family, so that I can spend memorable time with mine!!
…some things I don’t understand…!!
There are somethings I don’t understand, which happen all around me. I don’t find a logical reason of how the human mind works…
some things like… how many of our politicians have assets worth crores, yet they are neither businessmen nor they have inherited it. How these crorepati politicians claim to represent the interest of the poor.
some things like… how come I pay property tax, electricity bill, phone bill, all kinds of bills for particular place, yet I still do not get my name in the voter’s lis.
some things like… why the world economy moved into a state of recession, after the real estate bubble. I still don’t understand what was the real cause and what solution did we identify. Two conference later, numerous speeches of more stringent regulations later, still the only solution we have thought is to pump more money into the market, not anyone’s money, but the taxpayers’. Is this really the solution??
some things like… how we think that inorder to remove disparity between different religions, caste and genders, the best solution is to provide quota for them…
some things like… how trying to bring a real cheap car for the masses suddenly awakes every citizen in the country and implores him to the ask the question of infrastructure and environment, yet no one raises an eyebrow when the gas guzzling, huge luxury sedans enter the same market…
some things like… how we constantly and consciously try not to become selfish, yet the very decision itself is an example of selfishness, of self-piousness, of self-proclamation!!
I have a whole bunch of questions…bunch of things I don’t understand, wonder who can help me…!!
Lost in Thoughts!?
The mind tend to leave out the obvious when busy on thinking something of importance.
On my way to work, my mind was occupied with thoughts of today’s plan and schedule as well as thoughts on the recent events. From the chaos on the road and the chaos in my mind, I initiated a self-check of all the things that one needs to carry to work. During all this, I realised I was not having my bikes key on me. This initiated a frantic search in all my pockets.
Moments later, I realised, I was riding the bike and for me to ride it, I should have the key on the ignition!!
Have I lost it already?? I thought I had a couple of more years with me!!
Death Sentence!?
With the 26/11 carnage trial now officially underway, I couldn’t help stop wondering, whether the accused, if proven guilty, should be hanged till death or not. Comeon, the people he has killed are dead, and nothing can be done to bring them back. But if we keep the person alive, we can extrapolate all the necessary information on which we can lay our hands on. Our intelligence can be more equipped on the ways of our enemies and certainly this kind of information can be very useful. To catch the aides of this outfit to which he belongs and help us protect our people.
Am I only one who is thinking on these lines?
PS: I read another news, that our intelligence captured one of the guys who helped arranged for money and other stuff. It adds some pride to my heart!!
