Show me the Money!!
The single, most biggest factor, which influences the lives and the decision making process of the present day population is Money. From choosing a job to choosing the kind of meal, even the reason for education in most of the cases is Money. Objectives and ambitions are now directly linked to the materialistic forms, which in turn is another form of Money. Even respect is now directly linked to money, the richer you are, the more respect you get. It doesn’t matter how you earned that money.
The erstwhile famous line from the movie Jerry Maguire
Show me the Money!!
could not have been better scripted.
Money has ended up as being the nucleaus of all activities, around which each one us is hovering around.
Whoever said
“Money can’t buy everything”
was smart.
People claim, the India’s biggest problem is corruption. And by corruption it is only corruption of money. I wonder why we never raise the problem of corruption of Power or the corruption of Morals or Principles.
Why it is OK to use some contact higher up in the power corridor to get a job done. Or why is it OK to lie and meet your end. To pass the blame to save your a$$. To stick to ideologies which do more harm than benefit. Or why is it OK, to commit onto something and then backtrack.
Corruption is rampant, of more important things than money, but in the end, it is the Money which matters.
The person who said
“Agreed, Money can’t buy everything, but it can buy almost everything”
was even smarter.
No wonder, everyones’ radars are tuned to the colour of green, and no, by green I don’t mean the environment, but the colour of the Dollar notes!!
