Pay Hike??
It so happened, one person argued that he was doing lot of work, lot of good work. So he should be given a pay hike. But since equality has to be maintained in the house, so everyone should be given a pay hike and increase in perks. So a poll was conducted, as to who wants pay hike.
Majority of them said they needed a pay hike. And, since this is a democratic country, and in democracy, majority wins.
So, every one was awarded a Pay Hike.
Yes, that’s what happens in the Indian Parliament. All our MPs awarded themselves a hefty pay hike. How did they decide whether it was required or not?? Well they voted themselves whether they needed a pay hike or not. Yes, Dance of Democracy at its best!!!
I wish my company would also go for a democratic solution to increase my pay also!!

But seriously, dont you think its disgusting to know how there is no “action” on serious issues in our country and why politician = rich?
At least the general perception is that, while they too are public servants who we know for a fact have meager salaries compared to the private sector, they manage the frisk huge sums of money every now and then?
I find it sad to know that they belong to a fratenity which is looked upon in such poor light and actually they are fine with out.
And such “democratic” acts for thier own salaries confirm and stengthen the above belief. Apparently, it does not matter to them.
